METAFOCUS SERIESThe Metafocus gets its name from the Greek "meta," meaning that which prolongs and transcends. A delightful series of ten signed and numbered fireplace façades, the Metafocus does indeed change the meaning of "fireplace," emphasizing and affirming graphic art, functionality, and sculpture. Metafocus fireboxes possess the same technical characteristics and dimensions as the Octofocus. The models' façades are operable, with either one or two sections opening. Opened, the façades reveal a generous, glass-fronted firebox for maximum visual enjoyment. Closed, the façades frame the fire or stand alone as individual works of art once the fire has died. Metafocus models 1 through 6 are created in forged, rusted steel; models 7 through 10 in bronze. |
